Editorial Policy
Accuracy before speed
WABO Sports documents completed events through factual event details, available highlight media and clearly identified partnerships. This policy explains how that coverage is prepared.
01
Sources and verification
Event dates, locations, results and participant details should be checked against organisers, timing records, direct event material or another identifiable primary source before publication. When confirmed results are not available, coverage should describe only the media and context that can be verified.
02
Corrections and clarity
Material factual errors should be corrected when reliable information becomes available. Headlines, captions and metadata should describe the page accurately and should not invent race outcomes, participants or official relationships. Translation should preserve the same factual meaning in English and Chinese.
03
Partnerships and media rights
Sponsored or partner-supported material should be identifiable from its context and should not change the factual standard applied to event coverage. Photographs, video, logos and supplied material should be used with permission or a clear usage basis, with attribution retained where required.
